Having fun with the new Tim Holtz Oxides.

With apologies, some of you have already seen this post but it published at the wrong time - probably my fault lol. Thank you to those who have already left comments and here it is again in it's correct slot.

Hi it's Brenda here today to share a little playtime I had recently using the new Distress Oxides from Tim Holtz. I haven't completed a project as I spent time playing with a palette of three colours, spritzing, dipping and drying many layers to create these fabulous backgrounds.

If you would like to see more then pop over to Bumblebees and Butterflies and also keep a watch out on the project blog over the next couple of weeks where I will be showing how I used these two pieces in a project.

Don't forget to take a look at the Challenge Blog to see the challenge details 'Inspired by Tim Holtz' and all the fabulous entries we already have. (You'll find the link on the sidebar).

Card with robot and metallic background

Hello everybody,
for our March challenge - Be inspired by Tim Holtz - I have made a card with one of Tim's newest embossing folders and of course with Tim's stamps. As I was a great fan of Tim's challenge, the "12 tags of...." I chose the techniques from there.
For more details, please hop on my blog!
Thank you!

It's a wrap

Hello it's Jane here. Happy St. Patrick's Day to those who celebrate it. I am back with my 2nd DT piece to hopefully inspire you to join in with our "inspired by Tim Holtz" challenge this month. You still have plenty of time to join in and remember you can enter as many times as you like and link with any challenges too! My first piece I shared here was quite girly. Today I am back with something very "traditionally" Tim inspired; a tag........

......but wait a minute...have you spotted something in the background.............yes it's a "real" gift tag with matching gift wrap. If you would like to see what I got up to together with a step by step do pop over to my blog here where a very warm, nearly spring welcome awaits you

Bye for now,

Jane x

Inspired by Tim. #49 Tim Holtz,

Alcohol Inks, Acetate, A Compendium of Curiosities all mixed together to create my second piece this month. For all the details, please visit my blog!

Monday, 13 March 2017

This month's challenge to be inspired by Tim Holtz has meant I've dusted off some of my favourite of his older stamps. I used Distress ink and then spritzed water through a stencil to make the background. I used lots of Glossy Accents on the wings, crown and motto. When it was dry I bent the wings and crown so they cracked. If you would like to see more, please pop along to my blog. Thank you as always for popping by. Gabrielle x
